THIS LES PAUL IS SSIK!!!
The Gibson Custom Shop has taken many exotic custom orders over the years through the “Made 2 Measure” custom order program. Nowadays, the options are somewhat limited, but back in the Henry J era, they were willing to do anything. This Les Paul has some truly “wild” specs…
Based off a “Blue Widow”, this Les Paul Custom takes it to another level. It is equipped with Bare Knuckel’s “Juggernaut” pickups for heavy rigging. The hardware is blacked out for an evil vibe. There is a blue stinger on the back of the headstock, as well as a custom “wildcat” decal, which is factory original - the original owner commissioned an artist to design it, and it was sent to Gibson for installation. The finish on the body back/rims and the neck are a dark trans blue finish. There are Schaller strap locks. The plastics are a matching black. The bridge is an ABR-1 style. The fretboard is Richlite and features abalone inlays. The fretboard’s side marker dots are abalone. Lastly, the maple top used is a gorgeous quilt top, double stained in the “Blue Widow” finish. The figuring is very high grade - it would likely be classified as a “7A” grade quilt top.

Condition is "Very Good". Includes COA, Straplock counterparts, and case. The nut has been replaced with a black nut. There are scratches on the pickup covers. There are scratches throughout the guitar. There are smudges on the back of the neck. There are finish checks on the back of the headstock stemming from the tuners. There are scratches/smudges on the back of the body on the bass side of the lower bout. There is a chip out of the bass corner of the headstock’s face. The original owner who custom ordered the nut was the only replaced part, however, I haven’t seen Gibson use a toggle switch like this before and some hardware is regular black and other parts are black chrome. To err on the side of caution, assume that the hardware, pickups, and electronics have been replaced.
